Application

Why are you interested in this position and being a part of RHA?
I am interested in being a part of RHA because I feel that my experience living in a residence hall can help to ease the growing pains that The Summit and Queens College are feeling during their transition from a commuter to a residential school. I have many ideas on how to help improve the residential experience of living at The Summit, and I am extremely receptive to residents' opinions and suggestions. I want to give residents the opportunity to have their voices heard in a productive manner.
Describe a significant team or leadership experience you have had, and how it impacted your personal growth and prepared you for RHA leadership.
During this past year, I have participated in and collaborated with an international team of developers in order to help develop a product that would be free for all to use. This required a lot of interaction, including weekly conference calls, to determine what progress had been made and what tasks still needed to be completed. This has been my most recent experience in working with a group of people, civilly discussing the best course of action to take towards a particular goal—a skill which is crucial for fruitful participation with RHA.
Name one thing you would like to bring to the Summit community.
I have the unique perspective of having lived for two years in another LEED-certified residence hall at another school, where sustainability and green practices were paramount. I have also seen first-hand what does and does not work in a student residential environment, and I would like to use those experiences to help the Summit community become the best that it can be.

Positions and Responsibilities

I am running for three positions: President, Vice President, and 2nd Floor Representative. If elected to more than one position, I must choose among them which I will hold.

My main goal, as an elected member of RHA, is to serve you, as a resident of The Summit, and your needs. That is why it is imperative for you to decide in which position I will best be able to perform that duty. Below is a list of the responsibilities of each position I am running for, as I have been informed of them.

President

Vice President

2nd Floor Representative

To reiterate, that means voting will be closed as of 8 pm on Friday, October 30th. Please remember to turn in your ballot before that time!
